Welcome to Stephanie’s Travel EDIT, October Edition!

Welcome to the October Edition of Stephanie’s Travel EDIT!

One of my favorite things about travel is that there’s always somewhere new to discover—and usually another trip to start dreaming about. As we head into fall, it’s a great time to think about holiday travel, winter escapes, a weekend getaway, or those special trips you’d love to make happen in the year ahead. Whether it’s a quick escape or a bigger adventure, there are so many ways to make travel a little more special.

This month, I’m sharing some of the places, ideas, and travel tips that have caught my attention lately. My hope is that each edition gives you a little inspiration—and maybe even an idea for where you’ll go next. And if something sparks your interest, I’d love to help you explore the possibilities. You can always find more travel inspiration and learn about my services at Stephanie’s Travel & Wellness.

A Few Travel Tips for the Season

  • Planning holiday travel? If you're traveling over Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's, book early, reserve dining, special experiences, and transportation early. Holiday schedules and availability can be different.
  • Build in a buffer day. Heading out on a cruise, safari, or organized tour? Consider arriving at least a day early to allow for unexpected flight delays and enjoy a more relaxed start to your journey.
  • Before you book that hotel, send it my way! Whether it's a weekend getaway, holiday escape, or a few nights away for your kids' sporting events, I may be able to add special perks and amenities through my travel partnerships. And my hotel booking service is complimentary!

DESTINATIONS TO CONSIDER

Who Will You Travel With Next?

Sometimes the best trips aren’t about where you go—they’re about who you experience them with. Whether it’s a family vacation, couples’ getaway, anniversary celebration, or weekend with friends, I can help bring the pieces together.

Looking for inspiration? Think Napa Valleyor Temecula for a wine country weekend, San Diego or Santa Barbara for a coastal escape, Cabo or Riviera Maya for sunshine and relaxation, Lake Tahoe or Aspen for a cozy mountain getaway, or Italy for a memorable adventure together.

From finding the right destination and accommodations to coordinating the details that make a trip feel easy and special, I’m here to help. You bring the people. I’ll help create the getaway.

Dubrovnik, Croatia and Bay of Kotor, Montenegro

where I'm dreaming about

Croatia + Montenegro Are on My Radar

Croatia has always been close to my heart. My great-grandmother was born in Dubrovnik, and my family has roots in the former Yugoslavia, which once included both Croatia and Montenegro. I've always dreamed of visiting and connecting with my family heritage.

Croatia offers a little bit of everything—beautiful coastlines, historic cities, charming islands, incredible food and wine, and the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle. From Dubrovnik and Split to Hvar and Korčula, there's so much to explore. Neighboring Montenegro is a natural addition, with its dramatic mountains, beautiful bays, and charming waterfront towns like Kotor and Perast. Together, these destinations offer an incredible mix of nature, culture, history, and relaxation.

For me, this journey would be especially meaningful—a chance to explore my family roots while discovering two beautiful countries. Maybe it's time to add them to your travel wish list, too!

Hideaway Rio Celeste, Costa Rica

stay of the month

Stay of the Month: Hideaway Rio Celeste, Costa Rica

Tucked into the lush rainforest of Costa Rica, Hideaway Rio Celeste combines beautiful accommodations, warm hospitality, and incredible natural surroundings. Think private casitas, delicious local cuisine, spa treatments, and adventures to nearby waterfalls and Tenorio Volcano.

Why I love it: It's the kind of place where you can truly unwind while still experiencing the beauty and adventure of Costa Rica.

Perfect for: Couples, milestone celebrations, and friends looking for a little luxury with a sense of adventure.

Stephanie’s Take: I’d choose this for someone who wants beautiful accommodations but also wants to get out and experience the destination.

If you are curious which destinations pair best for your next trip, I’d love to help.

A Getaway That Restores

Travel can be more than a change of scenery—it can be an opportunity to recharge and reconnect. From peaceful spa retreats and beautiful coastal escapes to a few quiet days in the mountains, sometimes getting away is exactly what we need to return feeling refreshed and inspired.

Sometimes traveling well is less about doing more—and more about making the most of the experience.
